Are these sim cards still available, as the original news article stated that the promotion ended on 31 January 2013?

Hi,

This promotion has been extended to the 30 April 2013.

Can Giga 200 be loaded on an existing SIM? [No]

I couldn't get hold of CellC's helpline, so here is my question:

I have a CellC sim card, can I just convert my sim card to Giga200 with R1800 airtime purchase?

Hi Afrikali,

No you won't be able to do that as the Giga200 comes on pre-loaded sim card.

Regards
CellC|TM

Don't forget to bring your ID as you need to RICA again ! Luckily I had my ID but no POR
but the CellC rep 'managed' to register ;-)

I see that they still advertise this package on the cellc website, is it still available?

Data promotions which were meant to end 31st January, will be extended till end of April 2014. *DM*

For those having trouble finding these, GAME or CellC dedicated stores.

PS. If you bring out a GIGA400 for the same price I'm gonna cry. Don't know if we will ever get a better prepaid deal with CellC.

Hi All. My Giga200 expired at the end of Jan. Is there anyway for me to simply recharge the sim again with Giga200 online instead of getting a new sim and getting it RICA'd etc?

GIGA200 bundle is pre-loaded on the sim. You need to buy a new sim. If you need to use the same number, we can do a number change for you. *DM*

Dear Cell C Representative

How do I find out how much data I have left on my Giga200 package?

I need to know how much Peak time traffic I have left, and how much Nite time traffic I have left.

Thank you

Hi Zyron, by dialing *147# opt 2 you will be able to view a detailed balance including peak and off-peak data balance.. *DM*

CELL C is there a way to ask your superiors/higher up ranking offices to make this promo available to all prepaid users using the USSD structure would be nice. Struggling to find the giganite sim card in this town where I am. Noticed tons of RedBull mobile cards at Shoprite. Checkers don't even stock em nor Edgars/CNA in this town.

Excellent coverage here, faster speeds than their competitors.

Yes. There has been a demand for this and it will soon be a reality. *DM*

This is good to hear, always was a pain to hunt them down. Just hope you also split it up somehow so that it's easier on the cash flow. I would actually like to pay 6 months up front instead of 12.

I have had it with Cell C!!! This network is a waste of space. They promised to fix their crappy network for some time and it remains the same, I won't and don't believe they will fix anything. My Giga 200, which is useless thanks to the network that can't handle the data, expires next year and I can barely used it. Iht am taking my two lines back to Vodacom where you pay for better quality.

I will support the big guys in their fight to finish you off because you do not deserve to exist! Your fight to bring down prices is commendable but if it costs me business and gives me stress when I am with your network then it was all in vain. Poor network is going to be your downfall, people will flock to you and then discover that you are enticing only from far and then they will go back from where they came.

I have been with this useless network for 4 years now and I swore I would never go back to Vodacom but now I see that I was wrong, the latter may be expensive but at least you pay for something decent.

You can keep your cheap rates, they are worth absolutely nothing!
