What are we going to call Scrum Master now?
Scrum Mistress?
EDIT: Even worse, I juts realised the word "scrum" is problematic.
Scrum is a term coming from rugby, a colonial sport of abuse invented by the British to keep their colonies in check. Its built purely on the aggression of toxic masculinity.
I think Scrum Master should henceforth be Hug Mistress. Even people who identify as men should be Hug Mistresses. If they don't like being called a Mistress it is because of their own fragile masculinity.

That sounds a lot to me like racist terms being fine if they're not intended to offend.
You guys are over-analysing the issue. If plausibly racist terms upset some people, and using alternative terms requires barely lifting a finger, then why not just do so. It doesn't need a supporting academic paper - it's just being considerate of others.
I blame Paul VixieI remember a few years back some woke techies called for the terms master/slave in software to be dropped.
That's right boys: we're now offended by Mongo instances.
You would have to @ me to notify me./Awaits DeadmanZA's comment.

Its really difficult to keep up with all this nonsensical snowflakery.

The shade listI get that they want to rename master and slave to primary and secondary, but renaming whitelist and blacklist... Somewhere primary and secondary will also become an issue due to the use in social hierarchies, you know, supremacy.
Come to think about this, will The Blacklist series also be renamed? The Deny List, The Exclude List, The Greylist?
I'm confused, why mention me but not @ me. Whats the reason?I didnt @ you for a reason.![]()

I think the way that pages are numbered is offensive.
Page 1 implies it is better than Page 2. Meritocracies are offensive and outdated. It should not be possible to rank pages, implying one is better than the other.
Pages should be named after black feminists.

The very idea of excluding anyone is badthink though.
It will have to be the Super Inclusive List of Everyone We Love.

Speaking of, who's going to let SkyDaddy#1 know he need to change his Word (the Bible)?christ...![]()
I'm in no position to tell black people whether something should or shouldn't offend them. If there is a preference for not using terms like master and slave, then fine. Why make a thing about it.
