Global Broadband Statistics

And like china, in opposite kind way, we have shown a 0 on 0 increase in IPTV, take that!

Yep - that's all wonderful news. It would be great if SA was in there somewhere, but as usual, we are right at the bottom of the pile (and not even worth a mention). Why, you ask? Well, we all know the reasons for that - Exorbitant broadband (rip-off) pricing, data caps, slow "broadband" speeds and Telcom monopolies who are in bed with government. I am so sick and tired of promises and talk of change. That is all we ever get, but nothing ever really happens. They promise pricing structures and speed increases in the years to come, but these are things that the rest of the world had years ago. I was on Skype last night and told my brother-in-law (who lives in London) about a certain game that is 9GB in size. He downloaded it while we were speaking - took him 19 minutes. Go figure... We'll never catch up.
