The worldwide PC market is now expected to grow just 0.9% in 2012, as mid-year shipments slow, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). more

Now I bought a pc 4 years ago and have since upgraded the graphics card so in effect I have a different pc, many people do that, just upgrade or just buy components so stats would not reflect on such a survey.

And as far as I know pc gaming is a growing market compared to consoles.

The high cost of hard drives would presumably be another factor.
