Hi All

Please can someone assist.

one of my work colleagues has forgotten his gmail password for his personal account.

He did not have a recovery email or phone number in his account and looking for a way to speak to a human at google as their local contact number now asks for a pin which only gsuite clients can get.

I could submit ID as proof before and mention some emails that I know is in the account but that option does not seem like it is there anymore when do some tests.

Or is there another way that can attempt password recovery?

wish it was that easy

the gentelman does not have any recovery email or number stored
He should be able to do a standard forgot password.
He can type in the last password he remembers (which is strangely by my experience, the pw that is correct).
People forget.
He should then get an option to add a new password.

Just scroll down, there quite a few options on that page, one is sure to work. I helped a few people, with no recovery number/email from that page.

My wife hadn't used her maiden name Gmail in a couple of years. She tried to log in again a while back but couldn't remember the password. We tried all the password recovery options without success and eventually ended up giving up the account.

A password manager like Bitwarden helps a lot to remind my wife of her passwords. Lessons learned.

Indeed. I've been a 1password user for about a decade and introduced my wife to LastPass at the start of the year

I once helped some one with this problem, after the third try, spending an hour or two, finally it worked.
But trying to recover my microsoft account is even worse.

You should be able to recover it without a backup account/phone number by going through the security drill.

Forget about speaking to a human.
