I don't get on my soapbox all that often, but, in case you don't know, they support this horrible piece of internet-breaking legislation the US is trying to pass:

Most other internet-related companies are opposed to it, and for good reason. So if you're looking for a registrar, please keep looking.
I've had a hate-hate relationship with GoDaddy for a while now, and finally moved my domains to Gandi.net this year. Reasons include:

I've had a hate-hate relationship with GoDaddy for a while now, and finally moved my domains to Gandi.net this year. Reasons include:
- They send me renewal notices for SSL certs, saying it requires action from me otherwise they will expire. I deliberately ignore it because I *want* it to expire (there's no way to cancel them), but the sleazy bastards still try to take payment from me (fortunately my credit card they have expired long ago).
- Their treatment of first seclists.org and then nodaddy.com - see http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/07/12/godaddy_shuts_down_nodaddy/ - you can see why they like SOPA
- Treatment of their employees. Unfortunately most of that was documented on nodaddy.com, so I can't provide references, but their former employees had a class-action lawsuit against them. Yeah, it's that bad. For reference, the hosting co I work at doesn't ask for overtime except when volunteers are needed, for example on public holidays, and then pays handsomely for your time. No questions asked. That's how it should be.
- That business with the CEO and the elephant.
