Who of you here, christian, muslim, jewish etc take offense to the americans and their constant "oh my god" was watching a show and counted that they said omg about 15 times in a minute...

Secondly why is this not blocked along with other "swear" words ?

I find the *bleep*-ing out of words, regardless their nature, a helluva lot more annoying.

Let the gods complain if they've got an issue with it.

Because if they blocked it then they would have to pixel out every shot of girls in bikini's for muslim viewers, plates of bacon so as not to offend jewish viewers, fuel stations would need to be hidden for the greenpeace people, etc etc etc.

But then the Yanks are big on torture and mayhem but nudity is apparently offensive.

In the UK you can have full frontal nudity with lots of f**ks but too much violence will be frowned on.

There's always someone who will be offended.

Are you being bloody serious?

You take offence to a three letter word being uttered on TV? If DSTV were to start bleeping it out, I'd get the absolute bloody moer in, their censorship is already bad enough.

watch

Tim: Oh my God! Oh my God!

Trent: Oh my God!

Beth: He's my God too!

I do , i know lots of people dont. But for me the OMG and JC is a bit hard to hear.. Id rather hear the f word.... But again thats me, seems so far no one else is against it.

Well that's probably because it's silly. If people don't want to hear it change channels or mute the sound, bleeping it just as silly as the person is still saying it and you are probably still hearing it anyway.

It's like censoring music on the radio because they say some trivial "bad word".

The issue isn't being against it or not, but in your call for censorship.

You might think your claim to being offended is more worthy than any other, but it really isn't. It opens the way for anyone to make the same call for any personal sensibility he or she feels has been slighted. Here, have a video:

Like Steve Hughes, I'm offended at the sight of boy-bands... Shall we start a joint action to get them off the airwaves as well?

Imagine "oh my Holy Ghost" being said in a movie, somehow it just won't work.

All this PC stuff has got out of hand.

You need a hobby.... rather count flies on the cealing

It makes me cringe sometimes... but I wouldn't want it censored. I want nothing censored EVER, have you ever tried watching Jerry Springer?

"Welcome to the Jerry Spr*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep*bleeeeep* bleep *bleep "Goodnight!

yeah that's the perfect example. Why would MNET (at the time) show Jerry Springer then beep out all the words? I wrote to them many years ago and they replied that they got the cassette like that from the states, what a load of bull.

Dont want censorship... Want the option. But again i see people seeing this as a reason to insult others because te don't share ideals...

Because i dont like hearing gods name doesn't mean i dont have a hobby...

It also doesn't mean i want to force my views on other

Take it as a given that those on TV saying OMG are all atheists and therefore it cannot be blasphemous.

It's just a term of wonder, - the same as Wow or holy s**t .

You know what is more annoying is when M-Net bleeps every freaking time somebody says the word god in vein, especially Mnet series where you cant switch the censorship off
