Instead of counting the gods you could just turn your tv off... because what you don't realise is that despite them bleeping the word out they are still actually saying it.

So if you dislike it that much then you need to pick another channel.... I suggest the Rhema network

if there should be an option to censor "blasphemy" because it offends some people, should there also be an option to censor the "legitimate" use of god/jesus' name? one might find it offensive that humanity encourages wishthinking (I can see this being moved to PD)

Wrong. Thats is EXACTLY what you are doing. If you find something offensive, YOU can change the channel, turn the TV off, go cry in the corner, whatever you want. Telling people what they can or cannot say is the very definition of imposing your views on others. daveza and the Touchy Ape summed it up nicely. If you block certain things, where do you draw the line? Who gets to decide what is offensive and what not? Pretty soon you'll end up being able to say nothing, because whatever you say or show, someone, somewhere will be offended/butthurt/full of rage about it. In some ways we're already there.

No thanks, keep your censorship to yourself.
 
I am not a big fan of it either, but I accepted that not all people share my views. If it starts to get to me I just change the channel.

Not really. What I find weird though is that they do this so often and the majority of them are christians in a country full of religious nutters, yet they seem to ignore "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain" - Exodus 20:1-17

God's obviously doing nothing about it so I don't see why you should worry about it :D
