gofreeSMS free SMS service

Sorry DearHeart, they don't support VirginMobile, I can't test it ;)

Could you maybe send an SMS to a friend on the lower order?

Sorry I'm a bit dof, I don't undestand what you mean by this? Sorry!!

mmmm, I don't think it will work, because when registering you have to choose your service provider and VirginMobile is not listed, so....?

Okay I chose CellC as the service provider with my real number and get the "authentication failure" error :)

Edit: Even when trying to change service provider I get the same error.

CellC works for me. Service is quick, but has a few bugs. I think it works off advertising through the SMS that is sent. So whoever you send to receives advert at tail of message. Nice graphical look, works OK. Can only send one at a time at the moment. Have to refresh page and log back in to send another message. Not much effort for free SMS

The problems don't seem to have anything to do with the service providers, may I ask what modem you are using? This is new technology (Adobe Flex 2) and the problems might only be surfacing as more users join the service.

Just signed up to test it and it works flawlessly. Sent an sms to myself to see what ads they've included and sent two to a friends. I got my sms in seconds and best of it all, if you look in the folders > inbox you can see that your message has been recieved at the bottom. I will definately use it more often, too bad that they can't use your number as the sender.

Hi bullfrog, I'm still trying to determine why it doesn't work for some users. Can you tell me what modem you are using? This app is written in Adobe Flex 2 and since I am experimenting with the framework it will help me to understand possible hitches.

Jst signed up and tested...

Works fine ;)

hope its really free...no hidden costs
