Excuse the N00bness but:

If I have more that 2 GB of RAM does that mean that I will require an x64 OS.

If it does and I get an x64 OS. What then do I need to get x64 drivers for all the devices on my PC. Eg: Graphics Card, CPU, TV Card, HDDs, CD Drives?

Thanks,

If you have more than 3 Gigs of RAM, you should get a 64-bit OS. You will need to download all x64 drivers for all components in your PC

You do not require a 64 bit os but windows will only use 3.4 gig or so of the 4 but it will still work fine.

If you do go 64 you will have to get the 64 bit drivers for all your hardware

+1.

A 64 -bit OS works faster than a 32-bit anyways so apart from a couple of software issues you won't be worse off.

Usually just graphics... Although my Logitech mouse has 64-bit drivers.

I dunno about your TV Card. If it's old, you might have troubles.

Also remember that 32bit apps running on a 64bit platform use more memory thanks to WOW....

Sorry should have said WOW64, the subsystem for running 32bit code on a 64 bit system....
