Hi All,

I AM BACK!!! :P O god help everyone lol.

I am really concerned about a couple of issues in this country with regards to this.... your views and points are ALL valid as you using information that isn't exact from each place that is testing and giving their own opinion. For true accuracy you would need to send SNR noise Sync speed where you based what exchange you hitting how many hops from local to international etc....

What I am having my own issue with is latency and consistent latency.... For gaming and such lag is lag but if the lag is stable one can understand the limitations... there seems to be way to much drop/changes/irregular issues with the line running overseas.

So the question to you all: what account has the least amount of hops (tracert) from your location to international servers overseas? I did my own testing with Afrihost and Gamco and have to say that afrihost has 3-4 additional hops before hitting overseas server (15-17 hops). Gamco account was effectively 40ms faster which as we all know in gaming terms is the difference between surviving or dying from lag. (12-14 hops)

My question goes further... if gamco has less hops who has less hops than them?
Also why isn't there a POP in Durban onto Seacom/eeasy etc? It lands in Durban but we don't have a pop locally.... Gamers in Durban would literally drop their packages and change over to the isp that decides he wants to make cash and develops a local pop.
In the process of picking a new isp... still trying to figure out which isp has the best latency to american servers.... anyone has a clue please enlighten me ;)

All of which means absolute bull**** if your ISP doesn't have enough international capacity. You will still get lag.
