So funny :D

how do they do it?

WoW relies on the client to supply it with what position, direction, etc the player is moving in. This prevents rubber-banding, where you reset to an earlier position after a lag spike. However, it means that the client can be hacked to give increased speed, different positions, etc. I'm not sure to what extent Blizzard checks to see if someone speedhacks, etc. Some say you get disconnected immediately when the server detects that you are moving too fast. Others have seen characters using speedhacks for weeks without anything happening.

I read somewhere that the specific hack in the picture relies on the character being on a flightpath, and then hacking the position.

Does anyone know of a way to mess with them when they do this? Someone said that the Piccolo of the Flaming Fire will disrupt them, but it didn't happen when I used it on them the one time I found them in SW.

I spoke to a gold seller yesterday, she told me that i musnt shout at her as shes a cute girl, i then asked for proof. She invited me to skype to see her. Hahaha and wow she was pretty hot lol :P

Haha thats true.

Unless its a old chinese guy pretending to be a cute chinese girl... with saved webcam and images.

it was a live webcam feed:P come now.

No offence, thats a common spam. They film a hot girl on a cam doing random things for an hour and then loop it. When you were on skype, did you voice chat to her or type? If it was voice chat it was probably real, if it was text then I would say 70% chance you were spammed.

No offense but do you know how skype works lol ? Its called video conferencing for a reason, as in, she was sitting in front of me saying my name?:P Do they have pre-recorded libraries of them doing that aswell ;) But besides that, i still didnt buy the gold. thou the thought did cross my mind :P

Re read what I said very very slowly, you missed the bit where I said "If it was voice chat it was probably real, if it was text then I would say 70% chance you were spammed."

You get a lot of apps that can send video feed to skype, but if you did a voice chat and see her mouth move then it might have been real... but if it was text chances are that the video was just fed as a webcam.

Yay, someone who understands! :D

I saw that type of "manimation" in orgrimmar on azuremyst last week. Different site tho :p

I understood perfectly fine, but i imagined the initial. "Video Conference" would have suggested it was real time. But moving on..

Well *kof* "real time" means you could have being watching her and communicating in text or audio ("real time" is very ambiguous in this context). So was it text or audio you were communicating? You still havent answered this. Unless there was voice associated with it you were probably scammed. I foresee a lot of "hot chinese females" with really decent english making sales soon :D

Fair enough, I got turned around with "saying my name", Ive seen a bunch of these scams so I am naturally skeptical. I wasnt clear if she was typing it out or verbally saying it out loud. Thanks for the clarification.

Your case is unique then, congrats on finding a hot chinese gold seller :D
