Golf 6 GTI-R

They may give better performance, but it won't be a better drive that the 325 or C240...

Those 2 vehicles are considerably more refined.

Id say go test drive one of these hatch backs... I have, its alot better than the theory behind it... 3.2 V6 Quattro/4Motion with DSG vs a 325 or C240... Mmmmm

Sad that its not going to be a 6-cyl anymore like the previous R32. That actually gave it the upper hand over the competition... because looks sure as hell don't.

The Slopel doesn't look too bad but **** me, the new Focus ST looks putrid. Looks like it had an Aston Martin ram it from behind so hard that the grille made it all the way to the front. Blegh.

Of those three I actually like the Focus most
Glad I'm not the only one seeing the Aston Martin bits, but I absolutely love it! The Astra is nice, from the front it is very reminiscent of the the Astra G.
Lets hope that the real Golf 6 (not this 5.5 one) will be the true successor of the legendary VR6, now that was a VAG worth remembering...

I fear the days of naturally aspirated (comparatively) big capacity hatches are over. Pity, as there was not a stock hot hatch that could match the R32's exhaust note. :( And yes, obviously I think the Golfie looks the best of the three... but we hardly need to go down that road again. :p

I really like the look of the Golf, I think its hawt!

The Opel is quite nice looking as well, but the new design is rather "soft" in my opinion. Its pretty, but lacks aggression.

The Focus is just bleaugh, I don't like it one bit! And its lost its awesome 5 cylinder engine :(

Looks boring as a hausfrau...
Really, when it comes to looks the Giulietta, Focus, Astra and every other large hatch on the market (i30 included) looks much better.

We must all be blind then.
The Guilietta looks ok, I dont find it that attractive, its like a sexy looking blonde, I will always prefer a brunette.
Focus is disgustingly ugly.
Astra looks ok, but doesnt have much street appeal. Street cred is zero...

VWs always have a certain appeal to all, the conservative, the customiser and even the wannabes...
A good looking woman who works as an executive can drive a Golf 6 GTi and it doesnt look out of place, the IT dude can also drive the same car and t works.
She cant drive any of the others, maybe the Gulietta.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder, or at least that is the case if you think a Golf is good looking

VW is Adolf Hitlers long lasting gift to mankind. Is is overrated and its name is misleading. Seriously, the "wagens" that the "volk" can afford no longer comes from Germany, or Europe for that matter. They should change their name and their design - because both are out dated and ugly.

The focus doesnt really look much like the pic posted there.
It is kinda sad the 2.5l is gone, but it seems the new motor will be packing a fair punch (equal to that of the megane RS now)

If looks are anything to go by, then it wont be a pretty car, but definitely not as ugly as that pic makes it out to be.

As for the R32, it has usually been over priced for what you get. This time is no exception
