I've been following it online today and it doesn't look like it is very forgiving. We might even see the eventual winner not making par. Interesting to see Tiger in the mix.

However, sad to say, no real South Africans in the mix apart from Grace, but he had a terrible front 9 to back up his good back nine.

Rooting for Grace. I would love him to show some form in the US, that way people will take notice of him. I hate watching ESPN coverage as they never show the SA players.

Dammit. Els was having a good round on the back nine and then threw it all away.

If Grace can just go par or lower today. However, with Furyk and Woods at the top this will not be easy to win.

Woods looks a good bet.

The bastid seems to be on his way back....

With success come the b-tches.

God, I don't want Woods to become the GOAT. It would be like Nadal being the GOAT. :P

Good round by Schwartzel, but not good enough. I doubt he'll be able to drop four shots or more in the next two rounds.

Schwartzel nosediving quicker than a jet without an engine. That said, Goosen is having a good round. I've not said that in ages... :erm:

Ernie made a big save after a torrid start. Actually sitting in contention now.

The Big Easy could have won a lot more majors...he always seems to furk it up with a terrible round.

Still in with a shout... Let's hope he has a good last 18.

Leaderboard is full of potential winners... Somebody just needs to have a good day with the putter and shoot low.

Ernie came back very well after +3 after 5 holes, only 3 shots off the lead. Also darren fichard won on the european tour by 3 shots -5. Hope Ernie makes it 2 wins for south africans this week.

Really damn close now. Ernie only 1 behind. I missed the eagle he made at the par 4, must have been a cracker.

Unless he plays an eagle and a birdie. Lol.

But, yeah, a double and triple bogey in the first round was unforgivable to himself.

All that damage of coming second to Woods all those years still shine through in his choking ability.

Nice tournament though, lots of the older guard was in contention.

Now, if only we can find a way to get a South African to win the PGA Championship. Haven't had a winner since Player. Our best tournament seems to be the Masters.
