What kit on a S3? Have you seen current Golf 5 GTI pricing - base models?
Also do a bit of a comparison, S3 specced to what comes STANDARD on a Golf 5 GTI. Golf GTI comes with ALOT more standard features. If you spec a S3 with the same features that come standard on a GTI, you looking at paying over R400K for a S.

Wow whatta thread.... I have always wanted a Golf GTi but this thread has just compounded my want for one. I even signed up on these forums so that I could ask you guys a question.

The question is: I have come across a G5GTi that costs R195000 With 30000km's on the clock. This seems like a reasonable number of km's etc for the price, the sticking point is that the car doesn't have a full service history, should I take that as a sign..

Also, if I go and have a look at the car what should I look out for to make sure that the car is not a dud. The reason I'm asking is that if I buy this car and it screws me over, I'll pretty much not have a car. Now I'm a tit when it comes to cars and I barely know anything, so please help me and tell me if this deal seems too good to be true.

Because in my experience, if something seems too good to be true it usually is.

I have found lists on the aaautobay website that tell me what to look out for but I think that there is more to those lists in a GTi, e.g. burnt turbo etc etc. My question is, if I get screwed over by this car, Whats the most that I may have to pay to get it fixed. Ty in advance

Year?

And no FSH means the guy that drove it missed free services in that mileage. Walk away...

but that car maybe had only 1 service and due for its 30 . . . No? Weird that it wont have a full service history. Sounds fishy. Dont know if you had the vin number could that help query the car with vw, like bmw does

Saw a G6 GTi last week in Worcester on the road. It looks much more feminine than the G5. I still prefer the G5 but the G6 GTi could grow on me.

Walk Away... The G6 GTI is now on the road, so you bound to pick up
a good G5 for under 200K. Good luck ;)
