Have submitted Cancellation with MWEB (29/05/2015) ...

MWEB 4 Mbps Premium Uncapped ADSL Data Only R 539 per month will be Cancelled on 31/06/2015

Just couldn't take paying a Premium R 1,027 in Total (R 189 Voice Line + R 299 ADSL Line + R 539 MWEB) for a Basic service anymore..

Speed weren't bad only during the day it would be basically dead, but would run well most nights after 10 PM..

Still keeping the Telkom 4 Mbps ADSL Line, maybe looking at 10 Mbps...

So Which ISP now ?

So far Afrihost DSL Uncapped Up to 4 Mbps R 397 per month or even Afrihost Business Package looks good ?

We do between 300-400 GB a month mostly due to MWEB limits..

It really depends on your usage, when you download and what you do.

Each ISP has its strong points and its bad points.

Heavy downloading and streaming and flawless gaming, I deffo recommend CrystalWeb. They have some awesome capped packages.

During the day mostly Browsing, Normal Downloading etc.

Big Downloads and Torrents scheduled After Hours from 10 PM ...

Easy.. when you are 3 people watching different series, movies, streaming etc. and then we Team Up lol for mutual Series, Movies etc.

I'd recommend Crystal Web, But you'd need to go for one of their higher priced packages if you plan to use 300 gigs on a 4 meg line.

You can look at one of the IS (WA or CW) packages, the ones that have the split data. I moved over to one of them and haven't had any issues.

Looks promising..

Crystal Web Up to 40 MBPS HOME CAPPED 450 GB (90 GB anytime + 360 GB from midnight – 6 am) R 295 per month

I'm on Afrihost, and have been since I left Mweb, I have not regretted the decision for even a second. Using their business uncapped packages is a pleasure. If you're still keen on spending about R1,027 on an internet connection then get their 4 meg business uncapped account, they're unthrottled 24/7.

Like 2 days ago I was pulling just over 1MB/s at 16:30 using P2P (I'm using their 10 meg business these days)

Have you tested other ISPs to make sure your exchange isn't congested first?

I'm with you there. I'm on 2 meg uncapped, have been since I left Mweb - it's been a couple of years now. I've had no issues with them.

Sorry to see you've decided to cancel. :( I can't see any calls to our contact centre on your account for support in this regard. Have you tried properly shutting down your Torrent application during the day to see if performance improves?

Have you tried not using the internet during the day to see if performance improves?
