Total Usage for past 30 days was around 360 GB but we managed it to not go over the "CAP"..

So 250-350 GB Per Month normally.
 
Do people not stream as much as I thought or what? Stream HD everyday and do game updates and you can look at anything from 100-200gb's
 
I left MWEB about 18 months ago, and moved to Afrihost. They've been stellar so far, despite the bad rep they seem to have at the moment.

Haven't regretted my decision at all.

Just couldn't take paying a Premium R 1,027 in Total (R 189 Voice Line + R 299 ADSL Line + R 539 MWEB) for a Basic service anymore..

Speed weren't bad only during the day it would be basically dead, but would run well most nights after 10 PM..

Still keeping the Telkom 4 Mbps ADSL Line, maybe looking at 10 Mbps...

So Which ISP now ?

So far Afrihost DSL Uncapped Up to 4 Mbps R 397 per month or even Afrihost Business Package looks good ?

I would say go with afrihost capped,myself and my brother have tested a lot of isp's..and afrihost is the best
i'm currently on the 100gb with a 2mb line and he is on the 200 gb with a 4mb line over a year and no problem..full speed all the time,i would stay away from uncapped packages,they are horrible..been there done that never again,i would rather limit myself with data than have daily problems,which was my case before,openweb was the worst and i was on their business package which cost me a lot of money
 
My 2cents:
I'm on 2mbps home uncapped and I tried web-africa, crystal web (IS resellers) and afrihost.
IS is best for downloading and cheapest for downloading lots, I was on 1 star for like 2-3 months and From my experience between 8pm-6am its basically unshaped and for some strange reason torrents went at 50kb 24/7. Normal browsing is unusable outside those hours, webpages gets timed out and won't load at all. You can do about 220-250gb per month like this. Meaning you pay less than R1 for 1gb.

Afrihost is the best for normal every day use. They charge extra R100 but if you browse through out the day and download at night, Afrihost is perfect. IS on 1 star doesn't even reach dial up speeds, got sick of it and bought extra capped account to get through the day.

If you have money, than go for business uncapped. No shaping.
 
bussiness 4mb uncapped been there,every uncapped account is shaped. Capped is the way to go, 200 gig is more than enough,im on 100gb and i use my internet throughout the day and streaming,and a couple of downloads per month..someone who does 200- 300gb needs to lay of the bluray downloads lol Brother is on 200 gig,does way more downloads,netflix hd streaming at night and never runs out of data
