Nobody believes spin doctors but when your spin doctor is a liar and a fraudster that makes it doubly so.

This is the thing about the ANC - mixture of blind loyalty and arrogance. I'll never get bust and if I do they'll cover up for me.

Brilliant, heard it on the news today. Seems you have to be a criminal to be in the ANC, it is mandatory.

They interviewed him this morning on 702 and he admitted to "all" allegations against him. What he said though was that he declared all those things he committed to the ANC before they employed him, hoping that those deeds would not go public.

HE said he is in a lot of debt. I'm sure they will write him a cheque to settle them debts. Easy :)

Yeah - but the point is if you are a known liar and fraudster how can you possibly ever expect to have any credibility as a spokesperson? Fired.

They'll have to redeploy him to parliament where his skills are better suited. Or there are several Chief of Police posts vacant.

Association of National Criminals again.

But, people will still vote for them.

Everybody in the ANC is on the take. That organization is riddled with corruption.

From the M&G:
Tearful Niehaus admits fraud
Confronted this week with allegations that he owed hundreds of thousands of rands to politicians and influential businessmen and committed fraud while working for the Gauteng provincial government, a tearful Niehaus admitted that he:

* Forged signatures while he was chief executive of the Gauteng Economic Development Agency (Geda) before resigning in December 2005;
* Borrowed money over a six-year period from some of the brightest stars of the ANC and business galaxy, much of which he has not paid back;
* Asked to be connected to Brett Kebble because he was “desperate for financial help”;
* Had to leave a top job at Deloitte and Touche in 2003 after his financial woes became embarrassing;
* Owed the Rhema Church more than R700 000 when he was asked to resign from his post as chief executive and spokesperson by a full board meeting in 2004; and
* Had to repay R24 000 to director general in the presidency Frank Chikane when he left his job there under a cloud in 2004.

sounds like he's taking it like a man...
ANC spokesperson Carl Niehaus offered to resign from his position on Friday morning following news reports that he committed fraud to secure a loan.

"Something like this becoming public... obviously must have consequences for me and... I accept that the ANC will decide about my future," Niehaus told SAfm.

then he grovelled...

"Most of what you have confronted me with is true. I wish it wasn't. I've made massive mistakes and I've disappointed a lot of people terribly. I've no illusions that if you publish this article it will mean the end of my career," he told the Mail and Guardian.

Business as usual for the ANC.
They (the ANC) 'claim' they do not tolerate crime and corruption, yet they knowingly hire a self confessed criminal and fraudster as their official spokesperson.

It just does not compute!

Well soon we will have a sitting president up for corruption as well.

All I can say is at least Carl Niehaus had the guts to go on radio and retain whatever dignity he has left and come clean once these issues made it into the public domain.

bwhahahaha

heard it this morning too. They knowingly hired him after he confessed?

f-me, but I hope the "normal" people of SA hears this! I hope they'll burn the ANC to the ground... but unfortunately I think this will have the opposite reaction :(

I hope it's a start for many to do that, or am I expecting too much from ANC?
If this didn't go public, he still would be there. Somebody within the ANC (who has some beef with him) probably exposed him.

Criminals the whole bunch of them. I am not surprised about Niehaus, there's you just something about him that grated me since the first time I saw him.

or he is being blackmailed about further corruption... or he is taking the fall for somebody else.

well I dunno about all of them... but the lady who works for us is under the impression that the ANC gave her a house (R10K shack - we gave her the money for the roof and the furniture). Even though this house was already in the pipeline with the RDP back in the mid 90s. She also believes based on what people "tell her" that if she was to vote for any other party the white people would return this country to Apartheid.

that right there is where the problem lies... people believe this to be the soul truth. the opposition is clearly failing miserably in that regard!
