Good Hiking Locations - Gauteng

Ok, so I write my final exam on friday. I wanna go hiking, any good places to go in Gauteng?:D

does heidelberg fall under GP? if so, then give suikerbosrand nature reserve a shot...

There are overnight facilities at the Suikerbosrand reserve. The jhb hiking club is a great place to start as well - they have their own stretch of "wilderness" in the Magaliesburg area.

this has got me thinking (in a non hiking way) to maybe give suikerbosrand a visit on sunday - do the game drive with a nice braai...

...i'll give the hiking bit a skip until it cools a bit

Despite posting on this thread before, I just read this thread title as "Good Hijacking Locations - Gauteng", and I was like wtf? I didnt post in this thread when I saw the arrow next to the title. Lucklily I read it again :D

Suikerbosrand is definitely a winner for day hikes, otherwise I prefer the Dragenberg, but the closest places are about 4hrs drive, but for a weekend it's not that bad :)
