GOOD LCD screen for PC

The glossy screen coating is really a definite MUST,...

I cannot stand glossy lcd screens. Way to reflective, will drive me nuts. I'll stick with matte thx.

The T260 is a great screen (a bit too big for gaming IMO), i prefer the T240, but thats just me!

ANOTHER question, is samsung > than the other lcd companies? ie should i also look at lg, philips, benq?

Most likely all similar.

Samsung make panels. LG make panels. LG and Philips used to work together on panels, but Philips sold their share in that venture back to LG recently.
Benq don't make panels. As with the rest of them they just source the panel for the monitor from LG or Samsung or someone else.

Go to a physical store like Incredible Connection and go have a look at the monitors there. You will see if it suits you or not. There's just too much going on with LCDs that make one person's love the next person's hate.

Thanks guys for all the help. I in the end managed to get myself the p2770H at a ridiculous price thanks to incredible's deal! wooohoooo. This screen is EPIC!!! it is huge and clear and bright and stuff!
