Good scanning + zooming

Is there any good software out there that I can use to scan high quality scan's and zoom and crop to size? I'm loooking for something free, easy to use but also fast and with good functionality.

Scanning quality depends more on hardware than software. You can do everything you described on the editing side with mspaint if you feel like it.

I use office picture manager and digital image pro. Both are straight forward and easy to use. Digital image pro not free though.
