No idea what their stats are - never released. I assume it will be in the millions of uniques...

It does provide some indication of traffic, but no real figures on unique visitors etc.

one sixth of all searches coming from mobiles devices?
probably if you take into account that a lot of people use 3g (sim cards) to access the internet...

i really doubt these searches are solely originating from cell phones

Once upon a time I had a nice list of SA search engines, but a few formats later, and a couple of years thrown into the mix, most of those search engines no longer exist or I just can't remember the addresses.

For a new list of SA only, home-brewed or not, but must be local search, here goes a small start:

As far as I know, aardvark dont accept any submissions to their site anymore, this was last I heard. Can anyone confirm this?

I doubt they'd include all searches from 3G networks as searches from mobile devices, that'd be a bit stupid. Personally I do a lot of Google searches from my cellphone.
