Google Backup and Sync (Drive) slow uploads

Anyone else have issues with the Backup and Sync app for Windows 10?

Trying to upload a large zip file (11GB) and using the desktop app it appears to be hard limited to 8Mbit/s even though in the settings there are no limits set.

When I use Chrome and upload through the web app it uploads at 150Mbit/s.


Anyone know if there is a common fix for this?

Having the same issue today. Uploading at 20Mb/s on a 50Mb/s line. Obviously I already did a speedtest on my line.

I just use the web app when I need to do a large upload, the desktop app is doing some sort of limiting that cannot be disabled.

It wasn't present when I uploaded the first 300GB worth of data, wonder what triggered it now. I also closed it and re-opened it, and it's stuck on 30 now, no more, no less. I guess I'll just have to live with it until it finishes uploading.

Also, the web uploader is very intermittent for me which is why I started using Backup and sync in the first place - the browser would just freeze at one point and never continue. Also, when files get deleted off the PC now, it gets removed from Drive automatically next time you sync, you don't have that just via using the browser.
