Google Chrome redesign is coming soon

Google is moving closer to implementing its Material Design user interface in its Chrome browser.

The company has rolled out an update to Chrome Canary on Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS which activates the new design by default.

I see Google forgot to mention that they've also upgraded the new spyware features in the "New Chrome Browser".

Yeah. I gave up using Chrome years ago. It's good, but too nosy. Brave Browser is my browser of choice on mobile, it's nearly identical to Chrome.

Kiwi is the new best Chromium browser on Android. I recommend switching.

Can you import bookmarks and passwords from Chrome?

Not since Google shut the bookmarks API down. Used to be available in nearly all Chromium browsers.

Chrome is a system app for most phones though, so your bookmarks are never far away. Besides, who really relies on a vast quantity of bookmarks on mobile? If there are a handful of important sites just bookmark them in Kiwi. A small price to pay to get rid of the diabolical mobile ads.

I have Adguard and Private Internet Access VPN, both of which can block ads. Doesn't usually work in the YouTube app so you may as well just use an ad blocking browser. Those ad blocking VPN solutions increase the latency of everything you do online too, which isn't great.

Strange don't have that problem. I use a lite hosts file though.

I don't see how it's possible for it not to do so though. All your traffic is running through a VPN that filters your ads, therefore you are not connecting directly to whatever you're doing or watching. Hence additional latency.
