Google backpedals on Chrome cookies

Alphabet's Google said it plans to give people who use its Chrome web browser the option to choose a more privacy-sensitive experience, rather than phasing out cookies, the software that lets marketers track users.

In a blog post, the company said it had made the decision after considering the impact that eliminating cookies would have on publishers, advertisers and others involved in the sprawling digital ad business.

I disabled third party cookies in Vivialdi after some site extension made it crash and apart from reenabling it on specific sites for Disqus I can't see any real noticeable difference.

Shocked who would have thought google doesn't care about privacy over making their money.

Apple should rerelease Safari for Windows again.
I first started using safari on windows before I moved over to Mac it definitely was better than chrome at the time. Haven't used chrome in a good 10+ years at this stage so wouldn't know at this stage.

Being in the apple ecosystem one of the biggest win for me with safari is keychain.
