Google Chrome will block resource-heavy ads

Google is working on a new feature for its Chrome browser which will block adverts that use too much network bandwidth or processing power.

The company said in a blog post that there is a small percentage of adverts on the Internet which consume a heavy amount of resources without the user being aware of the increased load.

About damn time!
You cry that us running adblockers are hurting ad revenue, but that's because I refuse to let something popup/run in my browser, that is akin to someone letting off a shotgun round at a candle lit poetry reading.

So, nothing heavier than a Google Ads or Google endorsed ad  Tightening the grip on their internet ecosystem (and experience).
