Google Chromecast Difficulties with Telkom VDSL Modem

Please can anyone help me?

I have upgraded my ADSL to the 40mbs line and it came with the Pace modem. I also bought a Chromecast but when setting it up it does not see my wireless network. Does anyone know or has anyone come across this problem and is willing to help me fix it. Everything else in my house can see my network it is just the chromecast that does not pick it up.

I believe it only works on 2.4 GHz and not on 5 GHz. So you might have to set your router.

try resetting the chromecast by holding the button in for 10-20 sec while plugged into the tv will do a reset
