No more reliance on IMAP functionality, which is subpar.
It may also fix the many issues that Gmail currently has with using EAS services.
Finally- native mail applications (such as the Thunderbirds of the world) with have a far better experience.
It may take some time, but Gmail could become a viable enterprise alternative to Outlook, if development around that API improves.
