First city they visit!Maybe we should get a bet going - 1. How long it will take before it gets hijacked and 2. in which city?

It's going to give birth to a new wave of criminals in SA. They can simply google to find houses without much protection.![]()
Google street view car has just been spotted driving on the N3 near Pretoria. Lol South African techno freaks are not as slow as they look.. I bet before the day is out there will be pics online.
Unfortunately the guys who handled the PR for this sent me an email with their press release WITHOUT explaining where they got my email address from. If they got it from Google I'm going to be very pissed off. I hate spam!
The email came from Rishon Chimboza <[email protected]> and the PR company is Africa Practice Tel: +27 011 022 6561
He "wasn't in the office" when I called to complain, but they gave me his cell phone number. Let's see if he responds to my complaint, or I may have to blog about it.
There is a picture of the street maps vehicle on http://google-africa.blogspot.com/
Ummm, last time I checked the N3 didn't exactly go near Pretoria
BTW: Google has partnered with Toyota on this project and will use the 'green' Prius to travel around. Hope this will make the treehuggers happy![]()
