Google Nexus 4

Did anyone order nexus 4 accessories from ebay (US) ? I bought a case a week ago and it says shipping time is between 18-45 working days, which is a lot ! just want to know if it is really that long ? I got a naked nexus 4 waiting to crack :wtf:

Ordered mine on May 3. Heard nothing since. Not quite sure what to do about it. Luckily I'm in CT and Appleberry sell cases that are okay. Not absolutely perfect, but not too bulky with decent protection. And super cheap. 69 bucks. I got a car cradle too, for like 79 bucks.

If you're in CT I recommend. Here's there Nexus 4 section.

Anyone using\used the official Nexus 4 bumper? Looks a little chunky...

I really like the look of that case, however I'm always scared of cases doing more harm than good as dust can get trapped and then rub on the phone and make hideous microscratches.

That's why I like the official bumper, just a plain ring around the phone...a chunky ring....:erm:

Urgh...

Paid for the phone from Altech\CACell....what a bunch of @$%&^$#!!!

I paid for the phone yesterday and after numerous promises of delivery it now turns out that the phone is not in stock and never was...

So BEWARE Altech and CACell

Anyone know if we can get the normal 2-pin charger plug for the Nexus 4 over here?

Any USB charger works. I use an old motorola charger. My vodacom branded USB charger can't be used with the bumper though because the plug is too fat.

The Nexus 4 charger has the following specs:
Input:
100-240v~50/60Hz
Output
5.0v - 1.2A

The input is pretty much universal (so yes it will work here).

Plug will be a specific to a country tho. Since I bought mine from the US, mine has a US plug. I just bought a couple of converter plugs from eBay.

I have a similar travel set but it's like a freaking rectangle shape instead of the normal diamond shape. So it doesn't fit in a normal multiplug, it only fits the round shape 2 pin plugs...those ebay ones look perfect!

Is it USB? If so then yes but it will be a generic.

I've been reading how using the wrong charger can screw your battery...so i'm a little hesitant to just plug anything in. The orb and phone charger are USB.

It's still nice to have it though. If you can use faster internet at a lower latency at the same cost, why not?

I'm sure that'll be one of the first things Cyanogen will look into once CM10.1 is on a stable build.

So put a cover on the back of the phone to protect the glass (like most people would have anyways), I cant see the protector on my phone at all.

You also using the Ringke Fusion?

No problems with dust getting underneath?

I am using the Ringke Fusion case. Dust particles and other bits of pocket lint do get underneath the back cover. I take it out of the cover once a day or so to give it a quick clean, haven't noticed any scratches yet. The phone came with a screen protector on the back, but the cover very soon started lifting that, so I peeled it off. This is a brilliant phone at a great price, but it would have been nice if the glass back had been optional. Even the Ringke Fusion clear back pretty much hides the back, so in retrospect a thinner opaque cover might have been a better choice.
