Google Nexus 4

Yep. It's on the corner of my desk at home, and I use it as my default charger.

Does your phone stay on it?! I tried the phone and orb straight out of the box and the phone slides off after a minute. Then I removed the rubber foot and swapped it around so that the angle gets smaller and still, phone slides off. Then propped the orb on a pencil and phone sort of stays in place now but it's just ridiculous to go to that length just to charge your phone, so I just use the cable now.

I see kalahari now asks R4999 for a 16gig nexus 4. On a lighter side, finally got my wireless charger from fast tech. Works like a charm, except for the lighthouse size led light on the thing

Edit: never mind just saw that JimboBob already mentioned it. Pretty cool that they did translate it though. I think my mom would use it that way... I would not, WTH calls a GPS a Liggingstoegang?

Found a typo in the Afrikaans :

Haha not surprised, look how they spelled Afrikaans:
Additional language support - Android is now translated in Africaans, Amharic (አማርኛ), Hindi (हिंदी), Swahili (Kiswahili), and Zulu (IsiZulu).

Wow, that light is reminiscent of the Starship Enterprise... I know that you probably posted this before, but could you refresh my memory on the cost, and if it was inclusive of shipping?

EDIT: ignore the shipping part, and the cost for that matter...

Eish I think it was something like R360,shipping was free, had to pay in R25 at the post office.

Shipping took about 3 weeks (after it sat in Singapore for a week)

Very quick to start charging, and with the light, nothing that some electric tape can't help

Do you use it with a screen protector and bumper? Just trying to see if the device stays put...

Mine was mostly staying put with the official bumper, yes. When it started sliding, I knew it was time to brush lint/dust off the orb. I picked up a Ringke Slim case in the US a week or two back, and am using that now, and the phone seems to stick even better, and it happily charges through the plastic. Maverick Jester: screen protector yes, but that's on the other side of the phone, so not really relevant. :)

Sorry mate, should have been specific: no rear glass protection?

Haha - my mistake - I forgot entirely that people do that. But no idea how that would impact the grip, sorry. It would certainly still charge, though - mine is charging fine through the Ringke Slim case, which is much thicker than the protector would be (except if the protector was non-conductive, of course).

Maverick Jester are you enjoying your phone?

Just a heads up to those on a custom rom, there seems to be an issue with the phone trying to download 4.3 OTA update and failing which results in large data usage; used up all my airtime in 1 day and used so far about 2.5gigs of my wifi at home.

I am going to go back to stock 4.3

I'm still perplexed as to why anyone would feel the need to load a custom ROM on a Nexus.
