It has gorilla glass 2 on the front and if you want you can always get protective film as for the back I dont know :S
 
Just get the bumper case so that you:
  • 1. Don't scratch / crack the back
  • 2. Can still see the back
Problem solved :)
 
I also hate covers, defeats all the good work designers put into making the phone.

I might be wrong, but wasn't the 4s back also gorilla glass?

No I don't think it was, I believe it was a rival to Gorilla Glass but it was still pretty good.
 
I don't think anyone was disputing that the Nexus 4 is glass, front and back. The question is whether iPhone 4 was Gorilla Glass specifically.

Yeah, 16GB model... Was bought at Carphone Warehouse for £389.99.

I am so disappointed with Google Play though. I ordered a bumper on the same day, about ten days ago. The order is still marked as "Pending", even though it was showing "In Stock" at the time of purchase. So my bumper isn't going to make it in time.

Fortunately I have a few other friends coming down in December whom I can hopefully ask to bring it in, but it means that the first couple of weeks with my phone are going to be extremely nerve-wracking! I'm quite concerned about the durability of these things!

Please please please don't be one of those guys that walks around with the packaged screen protector still stuck to the phone....

What's the chance of Google feeling the pressure to release a fully functional Google Play store in SA now that Apple has started pushing iTunes out?

WRT TV Series: No. This just wont happen unless Google can swing the same content deals which Apple have managed to do with the music industry. Remember cable providers and tv networks sell their goods on exclusivity. So in short, legally, Multi-choice has most of the legal rights in SA in this regard. They have signed deals with the major cable networks or content networks.

WRT Movies: Possible

I think Google have other markets to consider before even thinking about SA, there aren't many of us smartphone fundies here in relation to our population sadly.

In other good news: Canada's PlayStore is open for Nexus 4 sales today
 
True... and sad...

In other news: I couldn't handle it anymore so I PM'ed that zakdoc guy to find out what the price is of the Nexus 4, says he has 2 8GB in stick....

(Hoping he says the price hasn't changed or that he has no more stock...so i don't have to buy one)
