So I went and loaded the CM10.1 nightly. Its the same as stock 4.2.1, but the normal tweaks, which are nice to have. So question I asked earlier is answered.... Yes its worth loading, cause its MOAR! lol

Fair enough, good points. I guess it's a bit different when you're running a Nexus. The first build is already 100% stable :)
 
Has anyone used the headphones on the nexus 4 for an extended period of time. I think mine sometimes cuts output to the headphones for a few 100 milliseconds sometimes sounds like my songs are skipping..
 
I haven't experienced that, but the longest I've listened to something with headphones is a YouTube video I'm afraid.
 
Just picked up my bumper.

Really high quality. Very happy. Adds a bit of bulk but not too bad and coming from a Note so I'm used to big.
 
Well .. I put my phone in my pocket with my keys... screen got a scratch... :( about 10mm long smack bang in the middle ...:mad: (I realized I had put it in the same pocket as my keys within 5 min... but was too late.)

The first scratch is always the most hurtful. I ordered this and this

I saw a pic of one with the white case and it kinda looks like a One X with the white backing. I hope my phone will be protected then :/ My phone still has the out of box film on the screen untill the screen protector arrives. Ordered last tuesday. Hopefully by friday ill have it ;p
 
Must be some nasty keys. I've always been able to buff out any marks from my screen quite easily. It's an S3 but they both use the same glass don't they?

I like the look of that white case! Only possible issue is that wireless charging isn't going to work, but if you don't plan on going that route then it's a non-issue.

I'm also surprised that a set of keys can cause scratches so easily. I don't think I've ever had a scratch in four years of owning Gorilla-glass-protected devices. I hope the Nexus 4 isn't any different. I've watched a couple of scratch-tests on the N4 though and it stood up admirably.
 
well ... it seriously did ... my Note never scratched ... but never mind... April, I'll get the Note 2 and give the Nexus to my dad or mom... I played around with a Note 2 today... Undoubtedly the best Phone on the market at the moment.

Yeah well on MTN I havn't had any trouble. When Cell C open LTE, I would love to give it a test on the Nexus 4. My mobile signal is above 75% 90% of the time which is better than my old phone.

StNick it still works with wireless charging im told.

I speak under correction, but I believe the N4 doesn't do LTE.
 
They Got LTE working for Canada only. Frequency & band that it has will not be the same as SA. Anandtech did an in depth analysis of its LTE capabilities. AFAIK SA will use the 2600MHz range for LTE. As you can see from the link, not supported.

But reality is 3G is pretty intermittent at present anyway so LTE is no concern to me...
