How to stream music in the car via Bluetooth

I have a 2014 Audi A4 and have never been able to stream my music via using Bluetooth? Can one do this or its a Nexus limitation?

I have also never been able to get Google Maps voice navigation directions via Bluetooth in the car. My iPhone 6 foes this.

Lastly, u have an AMI Cable but it doesn't display music nor am I able to control playback via the car. Which virtually defeats the purpose.

I have the latest software/ patch on my N5 stock (never rooted).

Any advice?

It should work, unless the radio only understands Apple? :)

I have an aftermarket JVC radio which I'm able to stream Soundcloud to and have any audio (from games to GPS apps) play via the radio.

It doesn't seem like you have the option for "media streaming". Is your phone connected to any other bluetooth device at the same time?

Yes, it doesn't seem like I have that option. And no, nit connected to any Bluetooth device at the same time. I was advised to unpair then try to pair again - I will try that and see.

Sad to see the news that Nougat will not be officially rolled out to the Nexus 5. The time has come on my trusty Nexus 5. Will need to replace it soon.

already a WIP custom rom is out..im sure it'll have a fully functional port soon.

I guess i can flash a custom rom, just dont like to. After messing about with roms for ages on my HTC Desire, i just want something which works.

Likewise. The time has come though, i need to charge my phone a few times a day now.

I cracked my N5 screen and ordered a 5X today. Was gonna give the phone to a family to fix, but if you want to buy it PM me.

Can anyone assist please?
I factory reset my nexus 5 and now I cannot add my google account. Gives an error msg cannot communicate with google servers.
I read up on a few fixes on the net but nothing is working. This is very frustrating now. I am trying for 2 days already.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
