Great. That with screen on time, total time of calls and a general description of what you did since taking the phone off charge.
EDIT: Also what kernel and rom you use

I mentioned it before - something like 30hrs with 5hrs screen on time and about 45mins talk time. Tapatalk, social networking web browsing. Mostly on wi-fi, otherwise on 3G. Running stock with Franco kernel
That's actually pretty good. I can get about 48 hours with 4 hours or so out of my S4, pure android 4.4.2 Nexus 5 rom, KT kernel, lots of tapatalk, browsing, I don't have Facebook or Twitter, hour or there about talk time, so much on a par I think.

Yes. Very much on par. There were huge complaints about the "tiny" battery when the N5 can't out and I said at the time that I will be happy to get similar battery performance to my S2. Some said it went happen, but I guess they were proven wrong.
So, after a failed attempt at trying to get family in Aus to purchase a N5 and send it here, I've decided that I'm just going to buy one locally.
My question is does anyone have recommendations where to get one? I'm happy with the 16GB model and seems like the D821 is the one to get. I see Orange has it for about around R6285 (black) and R7040 (white). I can also get the white version for about R6000 from another source. Any other options?

I would use Orange, only because I assume they would handle warranty issues. Private purchases, you're on your own with having to send it back overseas.

Might be true, but I will never use them. I don't trust anyone who can't answer straightforward question with a straightforward answer. And they were much more expensive than getting it myself from Amazon through Postbox Courier.

I didnt use the phone that much...around 5 calls with +-1 min of conversation. Wifi was on all the time I was at home and frequent whatsap + tapatalk + facebook. Im running stock android kitkat. Either the battery life has increased (because i only need 1 charge between 2 days for my day to day usage) or its a placebo effect. No crashes with apps so far and happy with ART.
Screen on time?

Admittedly not a lot of calls, but with 50% to go and almost 3hr sot after more than a day while fb is suckling on my gps on a phone people said had crap battery life? Take all of this and x1.9 and then see if it is still "not much"

I am used to 6 - 8 hours screen-on time on my Note 2, even 11 hours when only using it to read a book.
