Google Nexus 5

Great stats. But wtf are you doing on Facebook :D

Sorry... It won't happen again.

To be honest, I don't know why/how fb managed to hog the GPS like that. I forgot to switch off GPS and only when I checked the battery stats did I see what happened. Fb is also greenified so it should not have happened.

Hi Guys,

Maybe a little bit OT, but does anyone know if/when Esquire will stock the Nexus 5?

Thanks

Just a quick one, have not followed this thread in a while and too much to read.
But have many people switched to ART? Is it worthwhile now and most applications supported? IE is it worth swopping over?

For me - no. I have great battery life, exposed framework is not supported yet and my phone is snappy enough with Franco kernel

I did for a few weeks, but didn't notice any appreciable advantage to doing so. Switched back to Dalvik because of the Xposed support, as OGroteKoning mentions.

Why if I may ask? They have the Nexus 4

EDIT: Also how does orange.com's warranty for the Nexus 5 work

Then perhaps never, my bad. But the Esquire rep is a temperamental fellow. Ask him, anyway.

Not sure on how their warranty works, but I do believe that they handle all warranty claims on your behalf. PM the Orange Store rep, he should be able to advise you.

Pretty much this for me. ART it still to premature for me to consider it for my full time usage. Xposed is also too invaluable to discard at the moment.

So, took the plunge...

Purchased the N5 from Orange. So far. quite impressed with the service. Placed the order at about 3pm Thursday and was called by DHL today to say the phone is sitting at customs, should hopefully have it on Monday.

Is it the red one?

My boet will order me one when he's in Sydney next week, he's there for a couple weeks. He's got an Australian credit card. I've told him 32GB version, black or red, whatever is listed as quickest delivery time. Whites are currently out of stock. If I get the black I'll keep it, if it's a red I'll sell it.

So, my boet is there now and sent me screen shots, red, out of stock, white ships in 2 weeks, black in 1 week.
Looks like best option is a black model, 32GB.

Weekend pass from Weskoppies... If anyone is interested, I can make Flappy Bird available on Android for R1k per download...

/or free if you say please

Lol. I'm in Canada just now and was checking out the cell phone page on Craigslist. And believe it or not, people are advertising cell phones with flappy bird installed for more than twice the price of similar phones on the list without flappy bird :D Unbelievable, check out the Vancouver Craigslist if you want a laugh. Fscking madness.

Oh and as for the N5 on play store, red out of stock. Black 16 - 2 weeks delivery. Black 32 and white 16 out of stock. White 32 - 1 to 2 days delivery.

Not surprised about the red one, it looks absolutely fantastic.
