Google Nexus 5

Cool. Will do.

Although, for LTE, do I not need a 128K card? Or something.

When I did a sim swop I asked for a 128 sim card. They didn't have any. They said that the 128k sims gave problems and therefor I will get a 64k sim. I asked about LTE and the 64k sim and they assured me that the 64k sim is fine for LTE.

EDIT: At Vodacom

Cool. Yep saw this after they told me they only had the 64k sims. They did the sim swap. Waiting for activation now. Any idea how long its meant to take?

A sim card only authenticate you on the service provider's network, how can it be "LTE enabled"? :D

SIM = Subscriber Identity Module

Because that is what you had to do to access LTE when it was launched. It might well still be the case. It certainly was in December when I did the sum swap

On Vodacom to access LTE, you just needed to login to your Vodacom account and select the LTE service - done.

Did the Vodashop tell you that you need a new sim? And then took a R130 tip from you? :D

This is how you add the LTE service :

There you go... Enabled
And no. I didn't have to pay.

So I've literally spent like 2 hours fixing my soft bricked newly bought nexus 5. After the endless cursing of calling myself quite possibly the worst engineer in the world, I now have a rooted nexus. :)

Anyone here running the xposed framework? Is this the best way to get some more customization and also keep the stock rom?

Yup - running Xposed.

And? :D

Nice, not nice?

Ye - its got it's uses. The modules I have loaded are...

Bubble UPnP
Disable Battery Full Alert
Network Speed Indicator
Play Store fixes
Show Dialpad
Wanam kit
Xposed gel settings
Xposed light sensor filter

Got to be careful with some of the modules though. I messed up my Note 3 installing everything that I thought was cool. Had to factory reset (no nandroid).

Bad bad engineer :p
Also running Exposed
Gravity Box (hugely customisable)
Crappa Links (Stop TapaTalk and Facebook harvesting links)
Bubble UPnP
Greenify (Hibernate apps)
Exposed call blocker (testing it currently)

Mike, check out GravityBox. You could probably replace a couple of your installed modules with GB. The dev updates regularly.

Nice!

Isn't Greenify an app as well though? I remember using it on my S2.

Anyone using a wireless qi charger thing?
