I think this is going to be my next phone. Had a Note 2 and a Nexus 7 and the clean Android experience is superior. Hate all the Samsung bloat.

So ... when are we getting it here, VC in particular?

Wouldn't hold my breath...

It benefits everyone except basically Samsung.

Suppose. HTC and Sony's skins are very lightweight and don't break up the preferred Android way of doing things, for the most part. LG's skin has evolved quite nicely since the G2 and G Pro. Perhaps their time spent making the Nexus 5 really helped structure their ideas on a viable but differentiated UX.

More Nexus 6 devices were just made available on the US play store again. Still can't get onto the store

In Poland ;)
Still getting them non the less which clearly means most of the final code is in other Manufacturers hands already. While not turning this into a guessing game thread I do however believe in the Fact of Google Holding off till the Nexus 6 launch for Lollipop for older Nexus users.

Early OEM adoption is a good thing. It means that Android are moving towards a consistent OS base in future. In time, we may see iOS-esque levels of adoption among the newer versions of the OS.

I get the impression it's also marketing. Either way it's a good thing...

Your best bet will probably be from Orange. I'm hoping they get the Moto Maxx. Same specs as the Nexus 6 but a 5.2 inch screen.

Not listed there yet. But I note the Nexus 7 2013 is selling for R2,720, so might sell it and my Note 2 to cover most of the cost.

My only concern is it looks like the back is rounded. I'm used to using my Note 2 flat on a table. I wonder how much of a wobble it will have?

I was going to replace my Note 3 with the new Note 4 , but I am now seriously considering the Nexus 6 for a change . I generally love the Samsung devices with their ADH warranties etc and good customer service , but I really like the look of the Nexus 6 and I think I'm ready to try something a little different .

Reviews and reviews!!!

Anandtech wasn't too impressed the screen :(

Yeah, saw that. But Google improved the color accuracy on the Nexus 4's via an OTA, so hopefully they do the same with the 6. I had a feeling that it was using a previous-gen AMOLED panel.
