I'm a bit disappointed. Was hoping for a dual-core cpu, but it looks more like a rebranded Samsung Galaxy S.

Yeah, the Android boys said in the one video that the Nexus S will always get Android updates first + the phone runs "pure" Android, no manufacturer customizations.

I definitely want one of these. $529 comes out to under R4000 - you can't get value like that here. I will try and get someone to bring one for me from overseas.

Oh, and having a pure Android experience is a big bonus. Current Nexus owners will be getting 2.3 within no time. Not many others can say that...

Yes it will. Android 2.2 sort that out already. And the Nexus S will come out with Android 2.3

I'm not envious of future Nexus S owners at all. It's pretty much the same as my SGS and I'm not going to upgrade for a few minor improvements to the phone.

I am I hate that i have to "tweak" my phone just to get it to be usable.

I like the look of it. More unique, not an iPhone copy.
Still, I'll stick to my Galaxy S and install a good Gingerbread firmware when I can.
