Sharrup! Leave my berry alone you heamoRoid Freakazoid! :-)

Enigma243 said it before, but now it looks like it's true....Berry lovers are a bit insecure.

Aim higher in life and get an Android phone. :p

Looking forward to seeing it's ROM ported to my Galaxy - Seems to be very similar spec-wise, except for the flash :(

Oh well, progress is progress, and Android is taking over :)

The Nexus S runs Gingerbread out of the box, not sure if the Nexus One will get the Gingerbread update.

I know the Nexus S runs 2.3, thats not being debated. What I am saying is that having a pure Google phone has a big advantage in that they get Android updates almost immediately, certainly first.

The Nexus One will be getting 2.3 before any other phone(save, perhaps, the Nexus S).

Sorry, misunderstood your post. Yes, with the Nexus 1 and S you get the "pure" Android experience - and always before anyone else gets it.

Actually there are a few show-stoppers on the Nexus S for me, namely the lack of removable SD (it appears you are stuck with 16Gigs) and the lack of an FM radio. If it had HSDPA+ then I might have foregone those, but it doesn't, so I will just wait till 2.3 is available for the SGS from the lovely people at xda-developers. It will not take long I expect. The only other real pro on the Nexus S is the flash, but that is not really a big deal as I have a perfectly good 12mp camera with a decent flash anyways.

And it is damn expensive given the spec....

re the FM Radio, is it not like the N1 which wasn't sold as having an FM Radio but has had ROMs built which have FM Radio (I assume the radio works - I've never actually tested it)

Dunno, the device is not available yet, and has not been tested properly on gsmarena or anywhere else as far as I can tell, which is strange as it will supposedly be released in the next few days. There seems to be similar uncertainty about the external storage issue. The whole thing is most odd.

$30 more than a Galaxy S phone sold in the USA but it is a developer phone, so any updates that come through for Android it will join the likes of the Nexus One. Still can't see myself buying the phone, just for a flash and no removable memory. Now I don't understand the roll back to Bluetooth 2.1 when the Galaxy S has 3.0 and when will I ever use NPC anytime soon?

Agree with the comments on the spec, its a bit of wet blanket, buuuut seing as how i got the nexus one, might as well get this too. anybody gonna be importing, its not gonna be as easy as the nexus one because it seems bestbuy does not ship to freight forwarders. Anybody got any bright ideas other than knowing somebody there to ship it to you?

No worries :)

I was just going to post something similar to this. I REALLY want this phone, but checked out the retailers and they won't ship here. I have friends in the US that I could ship to, but then at the same time, Best Buy won't accept an international billing address. And then I am worried even if I get the phone to them, how much is shipping likely to be, and how much will I have to pay in customs duties?

If anyone has any bright ideas, please share. R3700 for one of these is a killer deal, even if a few hundred more is spent on shipping.

I might be shipping a few here. PM me and we can discuss details. Now that the Phone is being sold at BestBuy there will be the issue of taxes and I can't see how I'm going to claim that back.
