Google Nexus S is official

DJ, can you give us a price for COD here? I'm going to try my hand and bringint it in but I'll probably take a second unit if you can give a reasonable COD price. Let us know please.

As it is right I deal strictly on a cash first basis(due to early pullouts). The only time I do deal on a COD is when I travel to the states, which would be in early April this time.
 
Perhaps a better idea for you would be the cash held by a third party rather than yourself to avoid risk for you and the seller. Upon completion the money gets handed over to you. If you renege then the moneys get handed back. Just a thought, because you can't expect people who don't know you personally to trust you just like that, although you have not done anything to suggest you are not trustworthy.

Just a though, it maybe in everybody's best interest and if the price is right I think you could do well with it.

I'll take your comment into consideration, but as it is right now this is a once off kind of thing and the cost of such a setup wouldn't be worth it if the charges basically get me to a break even point. I'll look into the merchants available, if you could give suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
 
No bro I'm not talking merchants, just a trusted third party at minimal or no cost. A forum mod or something as well. We don't want to kill your margins, that would make it totally pointless. Anyway no stress, I'm gonna bring mine in myself.

Ah ok, that could work out.

/offtopic: Nexus S works well out of the box but the specs of the Galaxy S is still better on paper I guess.

Well I'll chat to bwana when I get back from Zambia tomorrow. Hopefully I should be selling the phones for R5500 ;) with all additional costs.

Nexus S running Eclair...? Maybe the AOSP can accomplish that :D.

Hi CeRRaNo, well if DHL holds up I can say it could be likely. Right now I've sent a PM to bwana, hopefully he can facilitate the holding of the cash.

DJ, any update on this? I can't taste any gingerbread on my N1 yet and was hoping the first bite would be the S flavour....

Nothing as of yet, I'm trying to see if one of the other moderator's can facilitate the service of being a third party(bwana seems to be M.I.A. in terms of PM replys). I think right now anything before New Year's wouldn't be possible.
 
Cool, keep us posted, I'm quite close to caving in and getting a galaxy s. The gingerbread port is going quite well and fast

I'd say the Galaxy is a better choice because of SD card support and the gorilla glass screen (Nexus S has normal glass). Although the Nexus S looks better IMO, it doesn't look like an iPhone knockoff.
