Google rumoured to be launching Google Drive... now.

And as predicted, there google drive launch with a mere 5gb space and a "iOS app coming soon" thing (which probably means "never"). So looks like i will look some more at skydrive .

Brilliant. Love it. Later on it will tie in beautifully with Gmail. Now that MS dropped the gigs on Skydrive to 7 gig this is not too much less + one gig for Picassa actually makes it 6 gigs. Also you can search for files per owner, file type and much more. Saved revisions is also great. Different color folders is also great and two way verification.

goto https://skydrive.live.com and click on manage storage bottom left then upgrade.

NOTE: you need to have something in your skydrive to be able to upgrade.

Google Drive is live!

5GB free plus integration with Google Docs and the ability to view 30 file types right in your browser—including HD video, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop—even if you don’t have the program installed on your computer.

Between DropBox, SkyDrive and Google Drive I'll guess I'll favour Google Drive as it integrates with the rest of the Google family. Also like the idea of being able to open proprietary files (eg Photoshop etc) even if I don't have the software installed. I'm guessing I'll be able to view them from my phone too.

Personal Use, dropbox, because Gdrive apps and linux support still suck (For now)
Business Use Box.net. as I dont like people snooping in my companies storage.

Skydrive is cool esp if you scored the 25 gig option but again I have a feeling they will only support Microsoft solutions.

Neat - 1st thing I'm doing in the morning. Thanks.

Don't bother.

I just booted into linux now and it no longer works. I don't know if its something I did or if the upgrade and local windows client did anything but I can no longer list my files in Skydrive.

It last worked on Saturday when I moved documents so must be something from then till now.
The Simpler Webdav viewer also doesn't show my files anymore.

Gooooo Microsoft keep up the good work.

Very bummed there isn't Linux support yet - they're usually pretty good with nix these days though so I'll trust it'll be over here soon.
