Google rumoured to be launching Google Drive... now.

Hope you're not tired of hearing about the Google Drive! As the rumors about Google's Totally Not Dropbox service leak out in ever-increasing droves, it gets safer and safer to assume the launch is imminent. According to Reuters, Google may be launching the service as soon as Tuesday. Or, as they're calling it across the pond, "today."
Reuters also reports that Google will be offering paid storage options going all the way up to 100GB for a price. No word on what that price is, yet. If Reuters is right, though, we won't be waiting long to find out. In any case, Reuters corroborates that 5GB will be the basic free package.

Makes sense in light of the Skydrive app but Google doesn't necessarily do anything we expect them to.
Unless it's a truly amazing service, I doubt I'll be switching from Dropbox anytime soon.

5gb? Better than dropbox but less than Microsoft Skydrive. I've activated it but I'm not sure how I'll use it until they release an iOS app.

Now I'll just have to wait. But it will take some time for me to migrate to it from Dropbox, as most of my aplications only support that so far.

As for the collaboration features as much as I love Google I think I'll keep my work related information in box.net thank you very much. I am not a fan of letting my company's information lie on some storage space that can not guarantee me privacy.

All the tech blogs says it up and running, but for me there is only a option to email a notification when it is ready.
The android app works fine though.

I just logged out out of Chrome sync and when i logged back in it was working.

I haven't come across any article saying anything about Blackberry App, but you can always use the mobile web app.

Irony is, engadget just did a comparison between skydrive vs google drive vs dropbox ... Looks like microsoft is winning so far....dropbox looks crazy expensive now.
