How different is it from just swiping a credit card? Security issues must be the same?

Nice that you dont need to swipe, but you probably still need to enter a pin or something. I also still foresee some dumb retailers making you sign the slip too.

Just a pity there are hardly any phones that have NFC chips embedded in them at this point. They could maybe use this http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-06-zoosh-technology-nfc-capabilities-chip.html to allow non NFC chip phones to make payments.
