Google suffers big cloud outage

Google suffered an outage across various cloud platforms yesterday, which caused users to experience reduced performance and intermittent errors.

The company said that the issue primarily affected Google Cloud, G Suite, and YouTube, although other applications that rely on Google's cloud structure such as Discord and Snapchat were also impacted.

The real victim was Shopify. Over half a million online stores went down, including those of their biggest clients. That's insane. They called in every single employee to help with customer support according to their Twitter feed.

Got to wonder if they're considering jumping ship as a result.
