Most screens you should be able to (I know you can with Apples ColorSync) but, as my eyes can confirm, it's no substitute for using a calibration device.

I'm also stuck in the DDR400 939 arena (New everything if I want to upgrade 
). But I was stuck in the 14" CRT one too. Upgraded to LG19" LCD Widescreens. It's not a Samsung, but this will do for now.

I got mine from Amazon (I see they're on sale for $54 now

The cheapest package in SA is about R1000. :/

Mr G, I am sorry, I wasn't very observant - you chose Berco Economy, which had different delivery time from the one I told you in my previous reply.
There are three options for delivery:
- Berco Economy: 2-3 days (major cities is 2 days)
- Berco Next Day: 1-2 days (major cities is 1 days)
- Berco Overnight: 1 day (major cities is before 10am)

hi everyone,
just want to add some extra info on our shipping and tracking services @ Nivo:
Compl33t and MrG were affected by this, a notification for pending delivery was emailed to you at the wrong time - the day we shipped the order, rather than on the day of the delivery. I am looking into the problem but it seems to me that the berco's tracking info is wrong. Unfortunatelly it takes them really long time to respond to technical problems so I am waiting ... and waiting ... but just wanted to let you know that I am aware of the problem and I will make sure it is resolved ASAP!
I've just completed the integration for the post office tracking! That is, if you order small items and you ship via post office (cost R15 - R25), you should get an email/sms notification at the moment the item arrives and it is ready for collection at your nearest post office. I am still busy doing some tests and fine tunning, but it looks good so far!

I myself had thought it was strange that I received the e-mail/also being told by Antonia of a delivery date that didn't seem to fit with what I had expected. So no worries there!
I think you guys are doing a great job so far with the way things are going, am really enjoying the experience I have had in dealing with Nivo.
Hope to be typing posts here on MyADSL using the new monitor soon.

I would like to give a tip to everyone for a very nice and useful feature on our web site (only works if you have created an account - if you have not but you have bought from us, you can create one, and ask us to link your past orders to it):
Once your products are delivered, you can login to your account and then go to "My account" (at the top), then to "My Product & Warranties" (at the bottom). You will see there all products that you have ever bought from us with their serial numbers and warranty/warranty expiry information. You will never again have to dig for your invoices to check if your products are still under warranty! Well, our invoices are downloadable from our site, so probably you won't dig for them anyway
Watch the space - the "My Product & Warranties" section will offer some
amazing features to all our registered customers, planned for sometime early next year!

How do you guys know what panel you have? Apparently the C panel is the worse of the lot and has a lot of backlight bleed and dead pixels when watching DVD's. Any of you notice this?

No idea which panel I have, and I don't really care. Not a single dead pixel, no noticeable backlight bleeding, and quick calibration fixed and colour casts it had out of the box.
I'm really, really happy with it. I can highly reccomend it.
As for Nivo, they can be sure that I'll order from them if I ever need anything again.

AFAIK there is no way of knowing unless you remove the back of the screen and look directly on the panel itself (the newer ones anyway). Have had the screen for a week and a bit now, not 1 issue *touches wood
Color is excellent and no backlight bleeding that I can see and I watch DVD's all the time...

According to web reports, you also needed to check the OSD service menu to make sure of which panel you had, but the service menu nof my screen doesn't look like the info on the web.
