...sucks. :(

Nearly scaled the walls last night every time the sheets brushed across my foot. DAMN YOU, RED WINE!

Any suggestions apart from amputation would be appreciated.

Stop drinking red wine?

Oh wait, amputation might still be the better option.

I'm only 23 and I get bad gout in random places, was in my hip joint the other night! Mainly from beer! I don't know if there is a remedy for it!

Funny enough got it this morning. Take a Voltarin tablet or rub some ointment on it. For those of you that are in JHB there is a chemist that sells something called "a bomb" that cures it in a few hours

I've found almost any generic Voltarin works wonders. Especially Diclohexal, woke up this morning with gout seriously moving in on my toe, had one pill and it's totally gone now.

Agreed on the Voltis, but I'm all shot-up on Panamor already. I seem to get it about once a year, coincidently around the time of my birthday when consumption of beer, red wine, braaivleis and other foods of teh devil skyrockets. :o

This is the worst I've had, though. Been 2 weeks already. Oh, well... I'll live in pain then. I'll sooner get crutches than give up my vices. :p

Otherwise go to your doctor and get a voltarin injection on the backside. Guaranteed to work.

go to the pharmacy and get colchicene. they realy work together with cataflam.

otherwise there are pharmacies that sell a gout cocktail, a mix of pills.
and it really really works.
pm me if you want the specific one in midrand

gout sux, i get it too......... i feel your pain.

Springbok Pharmacy in Alberton sells a packet containing six pills they call gout starter pack it works like a bomb need only to take it when needed. They also deliver anywhere in JHBG-PTA area.
Try it you will not be sorry.

Go to the doc, get a prescription for Puricos... bob is your uncle. But if think you have gout you had better get tested for it as there are issues that can affect the severity of an attack. Not everybody is affected by red wine (and mostly women drink that stuff), Its to do with Purines and sukke goed. I will usually feel sore after eating spinach.

if you have gout pains at the moment stay away from puricos. it will only make the pain worse.

only use puricos when you are pain free

Daily dose of Pericos and the follwoing coctail for bad attacks;

2 x Colchicine 1mg
2 x Xycam 20mg
2 x Paincomb
1 x Diclof (voltaren) 50mg

Go to pharmacy and ask for a gout pack. It's cheap. Takes a day or 2 or little more depending on how bad it is.

Long term. I drink alot of water. But I track it on an app. So I make sure I get in 10 glasses of water a day. I drink less beer. That helps. Haven't had an attack in about a year now.

watch that panamor - it's schedule category is about to shift up from S3 to S4 due to gastric issues (regular users).
