We already have had a pay-what-you-can system for ages...so how's this supposed to help? Well, it's not meant to help the average citizen, of course...it's just meant to create one giant feeding trough for the ANC et al. ...all by theft of private assets...the results of the NHI being implemented are sure to be avoidable suffering & death...
 
It's putting even more strain on the working class just to further line the pockets of the crooks in government.

They should trial it amongst the members of parliament first. Stop paying for their private healthcare and let them experience the public facilities they expect us to use!

The second it happens I am gone, and most middle class SAFFA's I imagine will follow. No way I am putting my family's health in the hands of government regardless of which party is in power.
 
If loadshedding was not a thing I would be more open to it. It's like their intention is to just break anything that currently works in the country.

No you will not pay double, private care will be banned. Yes you will pay more and you will be health-care shedded.
