Hi there,

I'm looking at upgrading my GPU (Evga Geforce GTX750) to the next level. I'm a bit of a cheap bugger and don't want to spend more than R2700 on a GPU. Any good recommendations?

1050 ti is comfortable at medium to high graphics 1060 is comfortable high to ultra.

To put it in perspective the 1060 is 200% better then your current card and the 1050 ti is 70% better then your card. So 130% increase in power for R850 is pretty good.

There is always something better for just R1000 more but in this case I agree. The GTX1060 3GB or RX 470 for ~R3500 will be much better, 20FPS in almost all games better, enough to put you on that 60FPS mark.

Give me your gtx 750 and R2600 and I will give you XFX RX470 4gb :P

That reminds me, what good deals have you got for an upgrade from a R9 290? I might be in the market. Don't want to get completely outdated again and having to fork out a fortune in a couple of years.

You will probably have to go gtx 1070 route, RX 480 is not much of an upgrade.

Probably looking at around R2700 trade-in value for your card, market currently flooded with cards.

The AMD cards are everywhere, all the old miners upgraded to RX480's and 470's.
