GPU Value Comparisons

I paid R550 for a Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GT610 and it turns out it a rebadged GT520. :/

Where did you get it from? I remember reading about both cards actually being the same from a forum, don't know if it is true though.

I bought a msi hd 7950 twin frozr for R2600 off carbs(getting it on monday) , currently have a 570 twin frozr. Haven't really been following the gpu scene as of late. So hopefully its a decent upgrade:D

Good price as well.

I paid the same for my powercolor 7870 as he paid for that. MSI make good cards.

I'm looking at getting a new card. Budget is R2400. I'm in two minds, GTX 650 ti Boost or GTX660? What do you guys suggest maybe there is something else.
PS looking for something of 192 bit or higher

I'm not a big fan of AMD? but I'm open minded

It is a more value for money card. I would suggest checking how the amd hd 7950 compares to the cards above. Check wootware for powercolor cards, they are a bit cheaper, but work well.

I've been doing some looking into Radeon cards, every feature/spec is higher than the Nvidia counter part except for the memory clock and GPU base clock

Pretty much yes. But you could get a amd card that outperforms the nvidia counterpart for the same price as a lower end one. They also overclock well.

Running Splinter Cell Black list on full settings. This card is a joy.
Awesome!!

lol! I have done that many times...but you will not be dissapointed, this card has turned many nvidia fans to the red side :D
I was afraid that special will not last, cause I saved up for the hopes of buying some specials at rAge in a week!
Thank you Lord Nikon6 for the help!!:D
